American Roulette Overview

American Roulette is a variant of French Roulette and Fair Roulette; it consists of a wheel divided into 38 sectors numbered from 1 to 36 and alternately coloured in red and black, plus 0 (zero) and 00 (double zero) coloured in green and placed diametrically between them. The roulette is rotated in the opposite direction to the throwing of the ball that, stopping in one of the numbered sectors, determines the winning number. Bets can be outside or inside the table of numbers on the table.

Strategies

Over the centuries several strategies on Roulette have been born, one of the most known by fans is the strategy of doubling. The method of doubling the stakes is only valid for red-black, even or odd 1-18 or 19-36. This method consists of doubling the stakes if you lose. For example, if you bet 1 € on red and come out black, you will proceed by betting 2 € again on red, if you come out black again you will bet 4 € again on red until it comes out. When the victory is over, you start again by betting 1 € in the opposite colour and so on.

Did You know that…

Roulette is a French word meaning “small wheel”. Many people, in fact, agree that the first “Roulette” was invented in 1655 as a perpetual motion machine by the French scientist Blaise Pascal, who was known for his research in the field of probability. Initially, the game was played in monasteries to fight boredom, but later it was introduced in the first casino in Paris, and was considered as an intelligent and fascinating game. In 1842 Francois and Luis Blanc opened the first casino in Monte Carlo where, according to legend, the devil is said to have shared the secrets of Roulette in exchange for their souls.
